13 days, 1480km, and 701420 wheel revolutions after setting off from John O’Groats, we arrived safely at Lands’ End, just in time for the sun to come out for this photo!​

We would like to thank you again for your support with this challenge, and thanks to your generous donation, we also reached our £3000 fund raising target!
With the gift aid added, the money raised comes to over £3600! This will help to provide over 100 physiotherapy sessions and other brilliant services and advice the Chilterns MS Centre offers to people with multiple sclerosis (MS).

Day 13 - Bodmin to Lands End

We made it! After a lovely evening at the Nichols/Cannaby residence and the reality of only 68 miles to go, our final morning preparations finished with with a  nespresso toast and celebratory selfie with Bea and Ruby the Dog. With no severe weather warnings issued, it was t-shirts on and heads down as we cycled out of Bodmin and onto our scenic A30 avoidance route past St Michael's Mount and through Penzance to Lands End.  St Michael's Mount Fuelled by fruity malt loaf! Newlyn Harbour Fiona's best mouse impression! Almost there! Then after a rather indirect but pretty route along a winding cycle path, we had finally made it!

A welcoming visit to the Chilterns MS Centre

Today we took the opportunity to visit the Chilterns MS Centre to meet the wonderful staff and see for ourselves the superb facilities and treatments available to MS sufferers. We also hoped to get a couple of photos of us outside the centre to use in their newsletter article and put on our JustGiving page. After a rather creaky cycle ride over (neither of us had been out on our bikes for a few days), we were warmly met by Hannah, the  Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser, who gave us a guided tour of the new building and facilities and helped us visualise what the money we raise will pay for. It was great to see and hear first hand how much good the centre does for those with MS, and how the money we raise will primarily help fund physiotherapy and other treatments. Day 7 - Ambleside to Preston

Another beautiful day started with another suitably filling breakfast served by our little friend Olivia from Kent House B&B! She did a great job serving us fruit and cheese, and helped us get our bikes ready.   After a leisurely cycle around Windermere we passed Langdale Chase, the very hotel Fiona's parents enjoyed their honeymoon some 40 something years ago! It looks like they have done a bit of wood carving since then, but the views across the lake are stil as stunning!  After a few more hours in the saddle had arranged to for tea and scones in Carnforth with Doreen and Brien, two of Norma's (Fiona's mum) old friends who live in Kendle. They were lovely! It was then when things didn't go quite as planned. I thought it would be a good idea to take the scenic route down the Lancaster canal, and when I checked, the surface looked good.
